Goodwill Industries of Northern New England Achieves Highest Level of Accreditation
By Press Release
Nine Programs and Services in Maine Receive High Marks from CARF PORTLAND, Maine: CARF International announced today that Goodwill Industries of Northern New England (GINNE) has been accredited for a period of three years for its community service, employment service, brain injury, and residential rehabilitation programs. The latest accreditation is the ninth consecutive Three-Year Accreditation that the international accrediting body has awarded to GINNE.
This accreditation decision represents the highest level of accreditation that can be awarded to an organization and shows the organization’s substantial conformance to the CARF standards. An organization receiving a Three-Year Accreditation has put itself through a rigorous peer review process and has demonstrated to a team of surveyors during an on-site visit that its programs and services are of the highest quality, measurable, and accountable.
The report noted, “The organization is commended for its soundness fiscally, administratively, and programmatically, and for the high value that communities, person served, and their families place on Goodwill’s programs. Goodwill is an admired community partner as a large employer, a provider of social services, and a model not-for-profit partner. The organization is also recognized for its specialized programs and services, which enhance the lives of people with the most difficult barriers to independence and productivity.”
CARF is an independent, nonprofit accrediting body whose mission is to promote the quality, value, and optimal outcomes of services through a consultative accreditation process that centers on enhancing the lives of the person served.
